Well, after a long break to deal with our personal lives, we're back, and we have upcoming reviews! From Thermaltake, we have the Du-Orb CPU cooler and Xaser VI MX case. Coolermaster has supplied us with an HAF case and UCP 1100watt power supply, and Xclio will be sending in a Xclio 1000 super tower, as well as a Diamond Power 880 watt and Great Power 1000 watt power supplies. We're also going to be working on some element redesign for the site proper, so our look should be improving in the near future as well. Stay tuned, lots of good stuff coming up! |

Our first review featuring our custom power supply tester is up. This review features data not available anywhere else, and we're pretty proud of it. Cooler Master was good enough to supply us with a Real Power Pro 1250 watt PSU for this test. How did it hold up? Check it out! |

Hot off the press from Ramsom at Thermaltake, the Armor+ MX is here! This new version of the Armor+ has all the features of the original, but in a mid-tower size, making it ideal for those who liked the looks of the Armor+, but didn't want to dedicate the room that its massive size requires. This definitely looks like an awesome case from a company that's been making great hardware for years, so be sure to check out the press release for all the details!
Also now available is the ProWater 850i water cooling system. Similar to the BigWater 760i in its design, the ProWater is for those that would like a bit more flexibility in upgrade paths and the freedom to mount cooling components where they will be most suitable to your PC. This includes the possibility of external radiator mounting, which will prevent ambient heated air in the case from hampering cooling capacity. There's a seperate press release for this product, which I'd encourage you to check out as well.
Thanks for the heads up on these new products, Ramsom! |

Crucial was cool enough to send us a brand new kit of their Tracer Red, in the 4GB flavor. I'm currently clocking and benching this kit, and so far, it looks like a great kit. With any luck, this review will be up early next week. Stay tuned. |

In attempting to determine what was in OCZ's new thermal paste, we checked it under a microscope, and in our review, ventured that there may be carbon nanotube fragments present. Lisa Gregerson from OCZ contacted us to let us know that this is indeed not the case, as well as pointing out that carbon nanotubes cannot be seen under a normal microscope. An electron microscope at 20,000x magnification is generally required, as nanotubes are literally measured in nanometers. Call it too much late night work, call it stress over the server move, or just plain bad judgement, we leapt to a conclusion that we had no basis for on this one, and it turned out to be false. It is always our goal to provide you with the most accurate information out there on computer hardware and concepts, and we dropped the ball on this one. |

Over the next few days we will be completing the process of migrating to our new dedicated server. Whereas we don't expect any outages due to this, little things will likely pop up that we didn't foresee. If you can't view the site, please be patient, we're working on it. |

After 100+ man hours of design work and more than 350 linear feet of wiring, the custom power supply tester is getting it's first trial runs, and the results look great! While we can currently test up to 1750 watts of load, the final version will be able to pull a full 2000 watts from any 12v connector type on a modern PSU. This will allow us to determine the true regulation of the whole supply and individual rails at any load level, and will provide you with some great info. Stay tuned, we'll update you on this as it developes, ETA of two weeks or less. |

Jesse has followed my vague directions and irrate commands, and created a whole host of new images for us, for ratings, external review postings, and awards. And they look fantastic! You'll be seeing these works of art at the bottom of all of our reviews, and on company websites, should they grace us with an external link. So just remember, when you want the best information on new products without all the useless BS, look for: |
